Sonoma County Sol FC won two games in the NPSL's Golden Gate Conference Open Cup Qualifying Tournament this past March to earn their spot in this first round matchup. The 102nd Annual Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament promises to deliver high-quality soccer in every game, and the Sol are playing this match in front of a home crowd right here in Sonoma County.

Join the growing community of soccer fans in Sonoma County by coming out to watch the Sol take on Burlingame Dragons FC (Official PDL Affiliate of the MLS San Jose Earthquakes) inside the Santa Rosa High School Stadium on May 13. Kick-off is at 7pm.

"We couldn't be more excited than to be back in the Open Cup and to have the opportunity to host a first round game in front of our own fans," commented Sol veteran midfielder Chris Daly, "we've been playing great soccer the past couple of months, and if we stick to the level and style of play that characterizes Sol soccer, we have a good chance at advancing deep into the Open Cup tournament this year."

The winner of Sonoma County Sol/Burlingame Dragons FC match advances to the second round, May 20, against Sac Republic FC (USL, Division III, 2014 National Champions) at Bonney Field in Sacramento, Calif., at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Second round winners move on to face NASL (Division II) and MLS foes (Division I) as they join in the third and fourth rounds, respectively. Ultimately, the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championship will be held Sept. 29 or 30 at the home field of one of the finalists.

There are a record 91 total teams participating this year - 47 professional and 44 amateur. The 2015 champion will hoist the historic Dewar Challenge Trophy, earn a berth in the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League and claim $250,000.

MLS's Seattle Sounders FC are the defending U.S. Open Cup champions, having won four times in club history.
